Kofi said The New Level’s AEW signing was not completed until less than 24 hours before All In: London.
Kofi and Austin Creed debuted at the AEW All In 2026 pay-per-view as The New Level. They spoke with Ariel Helwani about the experience and how late the deal was finalized.
The former WWE Champion said the appearance had been discussed, but the contracts were only signed shortly before the event.
&#8220;You talked about it being like the worst kept secret. But the funny thing is, it didn’t really solidify and become official until less than 24 hours before the show. We didn’t sign until like less than 24 hours before. We know what we wanted, we know what everybody else wanted, but it wasn’t like officially official until very soon before the kickoff time.&#8221;
He also said the debut felt surreal and described the atmosphere backstage as positive, with former co-workers on the roster and behind the scenes. Kingston added that he and Creed had wanted to face AEW’s tag teams for a long time.
&#8220;It was incredible. We’ve wanted to mix it up with all these tag teams for a very, very long time. And to see it all come to fruition, it’s like I said, just like a weird, bizarre dream, but the best dream possible.&#8221;

Kofi Reveals When The New Level Finalized Their AEW Deal

Andrade El Idolo believes WWE does not give Mexican wrestlers the same opportunities it gives some Samoan talent.
Speaking on Latin Lover’s YouTube channel, Andrade reflected on his time in WWE and said the company can turn a wrestler into a star when it fully commits to them. He said he never felt he received that level of support, even though he tried to make the most of every television appearance.
“When WWE wants to make you, they make you. There are wrestlers WWE has given opportunities to 20 or 30 times, and they keep them around until they make them stars. When WWE decides it wants to make you a star, they’ll make you one. And I feel like I never got that opportunity.”
Andrade said he believes other Mexican wrestlers have been in the same position. He named Humberto, Angel Garza and Santos Escobar as examples of talent he feels were not given enough of a chance despite having the tools to succeed.
“They haven’t given them the chance. Santos Escobar never got the opportunity either. I mean, there are a lot of them who haven’t.”
He also recalled being told during his second WWE run that the company wanted to use him for AAA. Andrade said he rejected that idea because his goal was to succeed in WWE rather than return to a promotion he viewed as having a more limited international profile.
Later in the interview, Andrade contrasted the treatment of Mexican wrestlers with that of some Samoan wrestlers. He said Roman Reigns clearly reached that level on merit, but argued that others continued receiving repeated opportunities without breaking through.
“This is going to sound bad. You talk about the Samoans, but a lot of them, the majority, not all of them, right? Roman Reigns, obviously, he did achieve it. He made it. But there are several of them who don’t, and they keep getting opportunities, and they’re there.”

Tessa Blanchard has joined MLW and will make her debut at FIGHTLAND in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 12.
Blanchard confirmed the signing during an appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast.
“I’m going to be starting with MLW here soon, and I’m super, super excited for everything to come,” she said.
Her arrival was teased on the August 29 episode of MLW Fusion with a vignette that did not identify her by name. Earlier in August, MLW CEO Court Bauer had said the company was in talks with her but did not confirm a deal.
Blanchard said she is targeting Shotzi Blackheart, who has held the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship since February.
“I think what’s been missing from MLW is a franchise, a name that the division’s built around,” she said. “This division was built and now the franchise, well, I’m here.”
She will continue to be based in Mexico City and work for CMLL under an arrangement between the promotions. Blanchard spent much of 2026 in CMLL and unsuccessfully challenged Persephone for the CMLL World Women’s Championship on July 31.
Blanchard was released from TNA in June at her own request. She is a former TNA Knockouts World Champion and was the first woman to win the TNA Men&#8217;s World Championship when she defeated Sami Callihan at Hard To Kill in January 2020.

Jake Roberts said he almost rejected Vince McMahon’s original idea for his WWF presentation before agreeing to it.
In a recent interview with 12 News, the WWE Hall of Famer looked back on being pitched the character that became &#8220;The Snake.&#8221; Roberts said the concept initially sounded like something he did not want to do, especially because he was afraid of snakes, but agreed after he learned what Vince was going to pay him.
&#8220;[Vince McMahon] just basically told me that they had an idea, and the idea was for me to dress up in spandex, and, wear knee-high snakeskin boots and carry a snake in a bag, and I was getting ready to say, ‘hell no,’ because I’m terrified of snakes. But he wrote down some numbers on a piece of paper and slid it over to me, and I just said, hell yeah, I’m ready.
You know, I threw caution to the wind and dove right in headfirst. So I did have some learning to do because I had to learn how to deal with those damn snakes, and Damian was not just one snake. I had to have a fresh one every week. So I never knew if I was going to get a poodle or a Doberman or a Rottweiler. I mean, some of them are vicious.
I finally had to tone the guy down because the guy was a real mark for wrestling, and he thought he was helping me by giving me these vicious snakes. I’m like, dude, I got to get this sh*t around. I got to take it in my own room. I don’t want a mean snake. I don’t want to get bit. Because I was the one getting bit, and I finally got him straightened out, and we were okay after that.&#8221;

WWE Hall of Famer Jake &#8220;The Snake&#8221; Roberts shared stories about working with Andre the Giant, detailing how the legendary giant used to torment him during their matches.
During an interview with 12 News, Roberts recalled a painful prank Andre called the &#8220;giant haircut.&#8221; Andre would knock Roberts down, step on his hair, and pull him up by his arms, ripping out handfuls of hair in the process.
Roberts also recounted a particularly gross incident during a match where Andre squashed him in the corner, knocked him to the mat, and sat directly on top of him. When the referee asked Andre why he was laughing, the giant openly admitted he was farting on Roberts.
According to Roberts, he was trapped under Andre for 30 to 40 seconds during the incident, calling it the longest fart he had ever experienced.
&#8220;Oh God, man. He used to do some horrible things to me. He would knock me on my a$$ and then he would come over and put his feet on either side of my head and stand on my hair. Then he’d reach down and grab my arms and pull. He just ripped my hair out. Called it the giant haircut. I hate that sh*t. Literally, handfuls in my hair were gone, man. Handfuls at a time. He just thought it was funnier.
One night, he knocked me on my butt and got me in the corner, crushed me and sometimes he would crush you, and I went down. He sat on me, well, all of a sudden, referee asked him, ‘Andre, why are you laughing?’ ‘I’m farting.’ He’s farting on me. He sat on me and farted for a good 30-40 seconds. It was the most amazingly long fart of all mankind. I didn’t think it was ever going to stop. No more fart spots for me, man.&#8221;

Andrade El Idolo has revealed that he is earning a higher salary in AEW than he did during his most recent run with WWE.
Speaking during an appearance on Latin Lover&#8217;s Luchando Por Tus Sueños podcast, the AEW National Champion discussed how compensation varies across major wrestling promotions, including WWE, AEW, CMLL, and AAA. He explained that every company has its advantages and drawbacks, with pay largely depending on a performer&#8217;s spot on the roster.
Addressing his personal financial situation, Andrade confirmed that his current AEW contract yields more money than he made during his WWE tenure. He noted that while WWE pays very well, top stars in other organizations can also earn substantial income.
Andrade added that he is currently satisfied with his treatment in All Elite Wrestling, though he acknowledged that promoter treatment in professional wrestling is usually tied to how much revenue a performer generates. Because of this, he stated that he always aims to negotiate better financial terms with every new contract he signs.
Before securing his deal with AEW, Andrade revealed that promoters in Mexico were offering enough money for him to surpass his WWE earnings on the independent scene. However, he ultimately chose to sign an AEW contract to ensure steady income and financial security.
