Perry Saturn has accused Brian Knobbs of carrying drugs for Hulk Hogan during their time in WCW. The allegation came during a discussion on Saturn’s YouTube channel about Hogan’s backstage group in the company.
According to Saturn, Knobbs was kept close to Hogan because he allegedly held the drugs so Hogan would not be found with them. Saturn did not provide evidence for the claim, and the allegation has not been independently confirmed.
Saturn made the remark while talking about how some wrestlers reacted to people seen as part of Hogan’s inner circle. He said that association could create resentment backstage and cited The Renegade as one example before also mentioning Knobbs and Brutus Beefcake.
While critical of parts of Hogan’s group, Saturn said he did not blame Hogan for helping longtime friend Beefcake get work in WCW. He said he would have done the same for a close friend if he had similar influence, though he added that he would have been more careful about putting friends in roles beyond their abilities.

Natalya said Jaida Parker could be a good addition to her Dungeon Fight Club faction on WWE NXT, even though the two have been feuding in recent weeks.
Nattie has recently been aligned with Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons on the brand. Speaking during an interview at SummerSlam media day, she said she wants to keep building the group and named Parker as someone she sees potential in.
Before addressing Parker directly, Nattie said she wants wrestlers around her who are motivated and willing to do whatever it takes.
“I want to create my own Dungeon Fight Club, and Shawn Michaels has been a huge catalyst in helping me build… more of my dreams in WWE and I look at like Karmen and I look at Nikkita, these girls are hungry, and they are willing to do whatever it takes and that’s the kind of person that I want in my Dungeon Fight Club, and here’s the thing, if Jaida Parker can stop whining and complaining and being so soft, so to speak, she would be a perfect person for my Dungeon Fight Club.
I would love to get Jaida Parker on my side. Because I think that she has so much potential. But I got to kick her a$$ first and see if she can really hang in the Dungeon Fight Club, and she might be able to. That would be a dream.
If I think of a faction, if Jaida can prove herself to me, which I think she can, but I don’t know yet, I would say Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, and Nikkita would be my ideal Dungeon Fight Club.”

Rey Mysterio said he moved away from using his diving seated senton after the 619 because the move contributed to the knee injury that eventually required surgery.
Speaking on Chicos Tóxicos, the WWE Hall of Famer said he can still perform the move, but only with opponents he trusts. He added that it has been several years since he last used it in WWE.
“I do it with people that I can certainly trust. The last time I did it was probably when Andrade was in WWE 4 years ago.”
Mysterio explained that the problem was the impact on landing. He said that if the move was not guided properly, his knee would give out, and that repeated strain led to the injury.
“That move is what got the surgery. Every time I would land, if I wasn’t guided properly, I would land and then my knee would give in. So that’s what caused the ACL to tear.”

Matt Cardona said his 2021 match against Nick Gage in GCW played a major role in his eventual WWE return.
After his WWE release, Cardona worked to rebuild his career on the independent scene. In July 2021, he faced Gage in a deathmatch for the GCW World Championship and won.
Speaking to The Wrestling Classic, Cardona said that match changed the direction of his career:
“Yeah, I don’t think I’d be here talking to you. I don’t think I’d be back in WWE if it wasn’t for that deathmatch and everything that came from that deathmatch. So that deathmatch with Nick Gage, it changed my career and it changed my life. Go watch the documentary on my YouTube channel.”

Tessa Blanchard said her first exit from TNA was caused by contract issues, and not due to refusal to drop the TNA World Championship.
Speaking on WrestleMagicPod, Blanchard said her contract was set to expire on June 30 while she was scheduled to lose the title at Slammiversary in mid-July. She said TNA offered her a new three-year deal, but she wanted to consider other options.
Blanchard said the plan was for her to sign a short-term extension, work Slammiversary and lose the championship after outstanding pay from her existing deal was resolved. She also said company changes behind the scenes led to confusion during that period.
&#8220;My contract was up June 30th, and I think I was set to lose the World Championship at Slammiversary… But my contract was ending, so we were in talks to renew my contract. They offered me a new three-year contract, and I was pretty set on, &#8216;I want to see what else is out there.&#8217; I was set to sign an extension to lose the title, but I still hadn’t been paid during my whole contract yet.&#8221;
Blanchard rejected the claim that she tried to keep the title, saying the championship was already with Josh Matthews by the time reports surfaced that she would not return it.
&#8220;There are stories like, &#8216;Tessa held up the title. Tessa didn’t want to lose the title.&#8217; That was never the case. When the story broke that Tessa wouldn’t return the World Championship, the championship was already with Josh Matthews at the time. So many stories got twisted into what they weren’t.&#8221;
She also said she learned she was done with TNA by reading it online two days before her contract expired, and argued that the wider public climate at the time made it easier for negative claims about her to spread.
&#8220;I remember it was like two days before my contract expired, I read on a dirt sheet that I had been let go from TNA. No one called me. No one told me anything. I just read it online.
With the way the social climate was happening, the way cancel culture was going on, it definitely worked out in their benefit because it helped feed a narrative that was going on, and it all got twisted into something that it really wasn’t.&#8221;

D&#8217;Lo Brown said The Nation of Domination was aware of DX&#8217;s parody segment in advance and helped shape parts of it, but he said the group did not know that blackface would be used.
Speaking about the segment during an interview with Inside The Ropes, Brown said The Nation knew that day who would be portraying each member. He said he personally knew Road Dogg would parody him and even suggested the name used in the skit.
&#8220;The famous Nation-DX parody, we actually knew that day, and in fact The Nation fed lines to DX to portray us.&#8221;
Brown said Road Dogg was set to play him, X-Pac was going to portray Mark Henry, and Triple H was going to play The Rock. He then made it clear that one part of the segment was not disclosed to them beforehand.
&#8220;We did not know about blackface. We didn&#8217;t know they were gonna do that.&#8221;
Brown said that at the time, the locker room laughed while watching the segment.
&#8220;We were there, helpful, and we thought it was funny. We stood around the monitor with the whole locker room behind us, giggling and laughing and having a good time.&#8221;
Looking back now, Brown said the parody could have worked without racial elements.
&#8220;We could have done it, we could have done the exact same thing with no blackface and no one would have known the difference. It would have been the same funny segment.&#8221;

D&#8217;Lo Brown said that in 1997, Black wrestlers were often not in a position to turn down creative ideas they were uncomfortable with.
Speaking about how he viewed racial storylines from that period during an interview with Inside The Ropes, Brown said the priority at the time was simply getting on television. He said that made it harder for wrestlers of color to reject material, because refusing an idea could mean losing the spot entirely.
Brown said wrestling had long been tougher for people of color and women, and that they were not always given the same room to push back as others.
&#8220;Yeah, in &#8217;97 it was still a weird time where you were just happy to get an opportunity to be on TV and you would let stuff fly because you knew it would end up with you on TV.
Wrestling has always been difficult for people of color and women. And it&#8217;s always been, you know, you had to work twice as hard or do things twice as good or whatever.&#8221;
Brown said he felt that if he said no to something, the company could simply move on and use someone else instead of changing the segment for him.
&#8220;So you just wanted to make sure that whatever you were given, you didn&#8217;t want to go, no, man, I don&#8217;t want to do that because we couldn&#8217;t just say no because if we said no, they would do something with somebody else where other wrestlers could say no and they would try to spend six hours appeasing them and get them into the right position to do it where if I said no they&#8217;d be like all right fine kill the segment we&#8217;ll put someone else there.&#8221;
He added that his approach was to accept the television opportunity first and then try to improve the material where possible.
&#8220;You have to weigh the hill you&#8217;re willing to die on and we just said you know let&#8217;s get on TV and we&#8217;ll kind of&#8230; we can change it a little bit on TV as much as we can, but let&#8217;s just get on TV.&#8221;
Brown made the comments while reflecting on WWF angles from 1997 and 1998 that he said would be viewed very differently today.
