At Fan Expo, John Cena clarified that he did not sell his soul to The Rock during his heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025:
&#8220;A few people say I sold my soul to The Rock, just because Cody and The Rock were talking about soul-selling, and I happened to get in there. Is there a soul for sale thing? No. I just wanted to win a championship.
The Rock doesn&#8217;t have my soul. I don&#8217;t think he ever got Cody&#8217;s. I just want to make things clear. We did not have a soul deal, DJ and I. We have a good relationship. I don&#8217;t need to also give him my soul.&#8221;

“The Rock doesn’t have my soul” – John Cena

Mara Sadè’s official website now states that she is with All Elite Wrestling.
The site describes her career as spanning “WWE, TNA, and now AEW (All Elite Wrestling).”
Sadè, formerly known as Jakara Jackson in WWE NXT (where she was part of Meta-Four), left TNA in early August after her contract expired. Reports at the time indicated sources in both TNA and AEW expected her to join All Elite Wrestling. She is also in a relationship with AEW’s Kevin Knight.
No official AEW announcement has been made regarding her signing as of this writing.

Mara Sadè’s Website Lists Her As Part Of AEW

Former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara has commented again on his absence from All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor programming.
In a post on his YouTube channel over the weekend, Guevara shared a look at his current condition and included a brief message about his situation.
“All I can do is stay ready.”

Guevara has only appeared sporadically in AEW, ROH and CMLL since June. His status has remained a topic of discussion in recent months.
Earlier in July, Tony Khan addressed Guevara’s status amid claims that it had changed. Guevara also said in a July interview that a consistent return to AEW or ROH was not up to him.

Natalya says she wants to turn her WWE character into a top heel and would like that role to be built around control and authority.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio After Dark, Natalya explained that she is interested in a major change for her on-screen persona. She said she would like to lean fully into being a villain, but added that the shift would require broad creative support.
“Here’s the thing I would love more than anything in the world to be the biggest b***h heel imaginable. I feel, and again, this is just me speaking from the heart, I absolutely would love that more than anything in the world.”
Natalya said the kind of character she has in mind would be similar to a modern-day version of Fabulous Moolah.
“Because listen, who doesn’t want to be a modern-day heel Fabulous Moolah, where it’s like, ‘I run all this. I control all of you. I’m the biggest b***h in the world.’ Like, I would love to be a mega, mega, mega heel.”
She also said making that change work would depend on full backing from those around her.
“But the thing is that we need all hands on deck to do that because Nattie’s got the most equity of any woman that’s ever worked in the industry. So it gets very hard if we can’t all come together to do that, you know what I mean? Like, it’s very hard for me to be a heel if I got to have everybody on board with me being a heel.”

Natalya Reveals What Changes She’d Like For Her Character

Zoey Serrano aka Zoey Stark says she looks back on her WWE run with regret over how little of her real personality she showed on screen.
Speaking on her &#8220;Zoey 1001&#8221; YouTube series, Serrano said she had chances to present herself more authentically but did not take them. She said the series is now giving her a way to improve on camera and let fans know her better.
&#8220;I’m actually really disappointed in myself because there were a lot of moments and opportunities where I could have and should have shown my true personality, but I didn’t. Which is honestly why I’m doing this video series now is one, to show the world the personality of what I have and what I can do.
It’s hard to talk in front of the camera. It’s hard to talk in front of millions of people. But this is a good way for me, one, to practice, and two, for all of you to get to know me personally and who I am, and I get this opportunity now with TNA. TNA is allowing me to be true to who I am and show what I can do and just have fun, and that’s my number one goal, right? This is a whole new rebirth for me. I just want to go out there, have fun.&#8221;

Zoey Stark Reveals What She Regrets About Her WWE Run

TNA wrestler Zoey Serrano (fka Zoey Stark in WWE) has opened up about how she reacted when WWE informed her of her release earlier this year.
Serrano was among the wrestlers let go in April, shortly after being cleared following a serious knee injury that had kept her sidelined for an extended period.
Speaking on her YouTube series Zoey 1001, Serrano said she was at the gym when news of roster cuts started circulating. Even though she had a bad feeling, she did not expect to be included because she had just been cleared to return.
“So when I got released from WWE, it hit like a ton of bricks. Kind of makes me want to cry now. Mainly because I wasn’t expecting it.”
She said the call left her shaken and overwhelmed.
“My body started to shake. Obviously, I started crying. I went to the car immediately. I truly, truly thought I was having a panic attack because I couldn’t breathe. Every worst case scenario was going through my head. I was having a really hard time.”
Serrano added that while the moment was deeply painful, she now sees it as a chance to rediscover herself.
“It’s one of those things now where as much as it hurt at that point, where I am at today, I get the opportunity of finding myself again.”

Zoey Serrano Details Emotional Reaction To WWE Release

Former WWE NXT talent Tyson Dupont was released on April 24, just weeks after undergoing hip surgery on April 1. Dupont and his tag team partner Tyriek Igwe performed as High Ryze, though they had not appeared on NXT television since July 2025.
During an appearance on Developmentally Speaking with Bryan Asbury, Dupont explained that he anticipated a potential departure due to a prolonged absence from TV, though he did not expect to be let go while recovering from an injury. Dupont also noted that WWE covered his medical expenses following his release.
Here&#8217;s what he said:
“To be completely honest, no. I knew it was coming just because we hadn’t been on TV for 10 months prior to that, so usually that is a telling sign. I was surprised because I literally just had hip surgery on April 1. I didn’t think they would release me while I was hurt, but I had a feeling it was coming.
I thought I had a little more time, but even with that, I wasn’t upset. I was just thankful. I was able to get the surgery. They have taken care of my medical expenses, even after being released, so I was thankful for that. I just wanted to get healthy again. I wasn’t even upset.
When I got the call, I was more thankful. Thankful that it happened and for the opportunity. Nothing lasts forever. We can chase our goals and dreams all we want, but when it’s time, it’s time. It was time to make room for someone else to have the opportunity to live their dream and that’s something I’m okay with.”
