Ex-WWE/AEW star Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger) and fellow Power Slap competitor Patricia Blackburn have gotten engaged.
The couple revealed the news to Slap News, describing themselves as “the first official Power Slap couple.”
The announcement came amid Hager’s recovery from a serious eye injury suffered during his recent Power Slap bout against Johnny Magna, which required emergency surgery.

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is looking ahead at how he can help elevate the next face of WWE.
Talking with Complex, Reigns acknowledged that while he is gradually phasing out as WWE’s central attraction, he is not retiring anytime soon and views this transition period as a golden opportunity.
He explained that his main motivation now is using his star power to launch the right person to the moon, noting that while sharing a ring with him automatically boosts an opponent&#8217;s value, the talent must already have that special spark on their own for him to truly bring it out.
Driven heavily by deep storytelling details, continuity, and fresh rivalries, Reigns even hinted that as rising stars break through over the next 5 years, it could open the door for brand-new dream matches and give him an unexpected, massive second act as long as he stays in top shape.

&#8220;It&#8217;s one thing to have a match with me. It&#8217;s another to be the guy that we&#8217;re working towards to transition from me, or to use my equity to then put a rocket on that guy&#8217;s back.
If you&#8217;re in the ring with me, your value is going up. It sounds arrogant, but I don&#8217;t mean it that way. I just mean that if you get in the ring with me, you&#8217;re gonna get the very best Roman Reigns.
You put them with someone like me and I&#8217;ll be able to exploit it and then try to magnify and make it even greater. But they got to have that thing going for themselves already. As these young guys continue to grow, they&#8217;re gonna create matchups and situations for me.
As I&#8217;m phasing out and as they&#8217;re really taking the helm, their superstardom will create those type of fantasy warfares.

In an interview with Complex, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns singled out Cody Rhodes as the only wrestler capable of carrying WWE like he and John Cena have.
Reigns noted that becoming the face of WWE takes time and consistency:
“It’s been shown with John and then also with me, it takes a decade or so. Can you perform every single time and then deliver when you’re asked? Can you do it when you’re tired? Can you do it when you’re sick? Can you do it when you’re hungover after WrestleMania? Can you carry the banner for this company?
This is a billion-dollar machine. It’s not easy. There’s only been one who’s been able to carry that banner, and that’s been Cody.”

A clip surfaced on social media showing Rhea Ripley walking briskly by a ring without the knee brace she had been wearing after meniscus surgery, but Mami was quick to temper expectations.
Seeing her move around so easily made many assume her in-ring return was right around the corner, prompting Ripley to step in and nip the wild speculation in the bud.
Taking to social media to cool everyone down, she reminded followers that walking and wrestling are two completely different things, saying that she only relearned how to walk the previous week and urging her supporters to stay patient while her knee finishes healing.

Steel Cage Title Match Announced For SmackDown

Former AEW Tag Team and Trios Champions The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) are just days away from potentially hitting free agency, and talks on any new deals seem completely quiet.
Both of their AEW contracts run out right at the start of October, but Fightful Select reports that the company has not had contract talks with either of them, nor is there any word on whether new offers will even be put on the table.
While the two briefly got back together last year, their paths in All Elite Wrestling have drifted apart, with Caster staying off TV recently to focus on indy shows while Bowens joined The Opps faction.
Even with that faction role and an appearance at AEW All In, Bowens has had only one in-ring match since late July, leaving both stars in a waiting game as their long-standing time with the company rapidly ticks down.

WWE, ESPN, and BAMTech have secured an early procedural win in federal court after a Connecticut judge agreed to put the entire evidence-gathering process on hold while deciding whether their ongoing consumer lawsuit belongs in private arbitration.
The proposed class-action suit was brought by fans who were outraged when WWE transitioned its Premium Live Events to ESPN Unlimited starting with Wrestlepalooza 2025, claiming they were badly misled into thinking their regular cable or live-TV packages would cover the shows with no extra charge, only to find out their providers lacked the right carriage deals and they were forced to shell out an unexpected $29.99 for the standalone app.
The defense has pushed to kick the dispute out of open court and into arbitration by pointing to the standard terms of service users agree to when signing up for Disney and ESPN accounts.
While the judge acknowledged past concerns about WWE losing or destroying internal records in previous cases, the court concluded that forcing the defendants to turn over massive amounts of internal documents right now would be unfairly burdensome when there is a very reasonable chance the entire case will be shifted to private, individual arbitration anyway, leaving the class-action claims on pause with no set deadline for the final forum ruling.
