WWE is looking to bring a definitive, high-stakes conclusion to the long-running rivalry between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, with creative pitches on the table for them to clash in a stipulation match that is rarely seen in the women’s division.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, backstage sources noted that company officials want their final chapter to feel special, using an uncommon match format to cap off months of storytelling rather than wrapping things up with standard rules.
While the exact setup remains under wraps for now, WrestleVotes clarified that the bout will not take place inside Hell in a Cell.

WWE’s Lucha Libre AAA promotion is gearing up for a massive presence in the collectibles and gaming world, rolling out a wave of major merchandising deals as talk builds around a potential new television contract in 2027, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
While fans have already seen initial releases arrive through popular lines like QuBee fidget toys and collector-aimed Big Shots items, even bigger crossovers are right around the corner.
Moving forward, AAA talent will be officially featured in upcoming Funko Pop vinyl figures, new Topps trading card collections, and as playable characters in the 2027 edition of WWE 2K, marking a huge commercial boost for the Mexican promotion across retail shelves and consoles worldwide.

WWE’s Upcoming Big Plans For AAA

Independent wrestling promotions and competing American companies are finding it difficult to finalize their upcoming pay-per-view calendars because WWE is deliberately dragging its feet on announcing the exact date for WrestleMania 43.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE does not plan to release any date details during October, seeing no rush to make the news public.
A big reason for the delay involves the unique location and how tickets will be sold in the host city, but keeping things under wraps also gives WWE a major tactical edge by leaving rivals (especially AEW) in total limbo when trying to book large events in U.S. during the WrestleMania 43 week.
While other companies are forced to hold off on scheduling their own major shows around that period, Sean Ross Sapp noted that those working closely on the Saudi Arabia event expect WWE to finally share the date around the Crown Jewel PLE in early November.

Why WWE Is Delaying WrestleMania 43 Date Announcement

Now that October 1 has arrived and Sheamus is officially nearing open market free agency, interest is brewing in Tony Khan’s promotion about bringing The Celtic Warrior on board.
Behind closed doors, AEW is widely expected to pursue the former WWE Champion, but the enthusiasm is not coming from management alone.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, an AEW insider confirmed that several wrestlers across the locker room are actively backing the move, making it clear they would love to see Sheamus step through the doors and join All Elite Wrestling if a deal can be reached.

Update On Sheamus

When Jaida Parker showed up on RAW and joined the 946, fans immediately began speculating that Naomi might be brought back to help level the playing field between The Bloodline and the 946.
Checking in on those rumors, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select noted that while Naomi has not been brought up in immediate creative chatter over the past few days, WWE internal expectations around SummerSlam pointed toward having her back on TV by the end of 2026.
It remains unclear whether that timeline has shifted in recent weeks, but the original plan clearly leaned toward seeing the former Women’s World Champion back in the mix heading into the final months of the year.
After this week’s RAW, False Finish reported that WWE is currently preparing for a return by Naomi in the near future.
