Opening Match Of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2026 Announced

With the U.S. State Department maintaining a Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” advisory for Saudi Arabia, some WWE talent have expressed hope that the company will rethink its upcoming Crown Jewel event.
According to WRKD Wrestling, talk backstage at RAW included performers stating they hope WWE seriously reconsiders the November PLE in Riyadh. The advisory, reissued on September 15, cites risks including Iranian drone and missile threats, armed conflict, terrorism, and other concerns.
Crown Jewel remains scheduled for November 7. Multiple sources indicated that WWE is still planning to proceed due to contractual commitments, though the situation continues to be monitored.

In an interview with POST Wrestling and Wrestlenomics, Janel Grant detailed an early experience of alleged $exual abuse that she says shaped how she responded to later trauma.
Grant said she was first $exually abused around age 11 or 12 by a groom at a horse barn where she rode. At the time, she participated in a 4-H club and later worked as a “catch rider”, someone who rides and conditions horses without owning them.
According to Grant, the groom cornered her in a stall and touched her inappropriately. When she spoke up about what happened, the man was allowed to keep his job. She was simply told to stay away from him.
“When you’re backed into a corner by, let’s say, a groom when you’re a kid, and something inappropriate happens, and you speak up and say something because you’re so uncomfortable, you don’t know what to do,” Grant said. “And when you speak up, when I spoke up, the groom, the first time it happened, he stayed in his role because they needed him. So basically, he kept his job despite what I said happened.”
She described the barn, once a place of joy, turning into something darker. “The place that was my heaven became my hell.” Grant said the episode taught her a lasting lesson: speaking up could make her life worse. “I realized if I say something, my life will feel worse.”
She told her parents at the time. “They listened to me. They listened enough to eventually react,” she said, though she remembers more vividly that the groom remained at the barn and that she was expected to tolerate the situation if she wanted to keep riding there.
Grant connected the childhood experience to patterns later in her life, including her time at WWE and her relationship with Vince McMahon, which she has alleged involved $exual abuse and coercion. McMahon has denied her claims.

Titus O’Neil Moved To WWE Alumni Section

In an interview with POST Wrestling and Wrestlenomics, Janel Grant offered an assessment of her current feelings toward Vince McMahon, the former WWE chairman she has accused of $exual abuse and related misconduct.
When asked what she feels toward McMahon today, Grant did not cite anger, hatred, or fear. “Forgiveness,” she answered. She elaborated that the emotion “does not take up space in my brain.” Instead, she described feeling empathy, noting that the chain of events that brought their relationship into public view had affected him as well.
“I feel even empathy, because in a weird way, and this is extreme polar opposites, the thing that might… the series of events that caused The Journal story to happen—whatever it was—it equally impacted him,” Grant said. “There are so many people involved in [the] decision-making that I can’t sit still and process.”
What occupies her thoughts now, she explained, is the broader sequence that began with anonymous emails to WWE’s board of directors in the spring of 2022 and the subsequent Wall Street Journal reporting that made their relationship public. “That is what occupies my brain,” she said.
Grant’s comments come more than four years after she first became known as the former WWE employee at the center of a major corporate scandal. In her 2024 lawsuit, she alleged that McMahon $exually abused and coerced her during her time at the company from 2019 to 2022. McMahon has repeatedly denied the claims, calling them “fictitious,” “salacious, false, and defamatory,” and describing their relationship as consensual. The federal case was moved into private arbitration earlier this year.
In the same interview, Grant reflected on the day the first Wall Street Journal story broke in June 2022. She described collapsing when she learned a report was imminent and asking her attorney whether McMahon was okay, explaining that she felt he was the only person who could tell her what was happening. She also recounted coming close to ending her own life that evening before a support person intervened.
Grant, who has spent recent months advocating for legislation in Connecticut that would limit the use of nondisclosure agreements in cases of workplace misconduct, framed her current mindset as part of a larger personal evolution. She recently received an Advocacy in Action Award from the Connecticut Alliance to End $exual Violence and described the moment as a “pencils-down” close to a turbulent chapter.

While performing in the ring, doing a move I&#8217;ve done for years, hospital X-Rays revealed I suffered a collapsed lung on my right side from the impact. The ER doctor said &#8216;You are very lucky to be alive. You had angels watching over you.&#8217;
Those words still echo through my ears.
In those moments, I was gasping for air and struggling to breathe, not knowing what was happening or how serious it was. When the match finished and I got to the backstage area, I couldn&#8217;t get to my feet and was still finding it difficult to breathe. For a moment, it truly felt like I was facing death.
I&#8217;ve spent decades doing what I love, stepping into that ring and giving everything I have. Never did I imagine that a move I&#8217;ve performed countless times could lead to something so terrifying. I didn&#8217;t want to die and the only thing I could think of at the time was &#8216;How will I take my son to hockey and get onto the ice with him?&#8217;
I&#8217;m incredibly grateful to be here, and I want to thank everyone at Pure Power Wrestling, the locker room and especially my brother, that helped get the medical team to the venue on time.
I&#8217;ll be going for follow up appointments soon and I&#8217;m taking things one breath, one day, and one step at a time.
