A sudden thumb injury has forced Dragon Lee to drop out of his scheduled appearance at AAA Verano de Escándalo in Aguascalientes.
The former World Tag Team Champion tore his collateral ligament during this week&#8217;s episode of RAW, where he teamed up with Je&#8217;Von Evans to lose to Austin Theory and Bron Breakker of The Vision. Doctors delivered the bad news after the match, ruling him out of competition for the immediate future.
This unexpected injury comes as a huge blow to his title ambitions in Mexico. Lee was originally set to compete in a qualification match against La Parka and Mecha Wolf to crown a new AAA Latin American Champion.
Dragon issued the following statement:
&#8220;I wanted to tell you all about what happened today. I was already on the plane, about to take off for Aguascalientes; I want to apologize to everyone, since I won&#8217;t be able to make it to Aguascalientes because this Monday on RAW, I&#8217;m not sure exactly when or how, I sprained my finger. I&#8217;ve already had some X-rays and an MRI, and it turns out I have a collateral ligament tear. I can&#8217;t wrestle, and they told me to go home.&#8221;

Dragon Lee Suffers Injury

As we noted yesterday, Brooke Hogan issued an emotional statement on her father Hulk Hogan&#8217;s one-year death anniversary.
After receiving backlash from some fans, Brooke addressed her history with her father:
&#8220;I can&#8217;t believe I even have to make a post reminding human beings how to be human. I am receiving so much judgment over my, not yours, my relationship with my father. Not my brother&#8217;s relationship with my father, not my mother&#8217;s relationship with my father. They, you, everybody does not know exactly what I went through with that man.
Two things can exist at once. First of all, you can take a trip down memory lane on Google and see what him and I went through publicly. And if you can imagine the damage it did privately, along with other things I&#8217;ve never spoken about, I am allowed to be very hurt and very, very allowed to draw boundaries. I am also allowed to mourn and miss. I have cried every day since he died. Every day.
The bags in my eyes, this is grief. I&#8217;m doing everything I can to hold it together as a human being, and you guys have the balls to judge. And it&#8217;s not me digging my heels in. It&#8217;s not ego. Okay? What we went through was something that might not ever be able to be explained, and something I could not go back into. I had a very real relationship with my dad. I spent 15 years with his second wife, Jennifer, at every surgery, flying down on my own dime while I was waiting tables.
I loved my dad. I miss him terribly. Me and him had such a tight bond. What you saw on TV was the tip of the iceberg. Me and him were so tight. We were thick as thieves. But somewhere I lost him along the way, and I kept losing him, and he kept losing himself. And that I can&#8217;t explain.
With anybody I&#8217;ve ever loved, I was the one that reached into the pit and said, &#8216;Let me help you.&#8217; I was the fixer. &#8216;Fix it, Brooke. Fix it, Brooke. You fix it, Brooke. You fix it, Brooke.&#8217; How about, &#8216;No, you fix it. How about no, you fix it?&#8217;
I couldn&#8217;t keep fixing it. I was married. I found out I was having twins. I had a nasty C-section. And by the way, my husband asked my dad if he wanted to meet our kids. I don&#8217;t even know if my dad had his phone, let&#8217;s put it that way.
Judge people by the fruit they bear. Not one person who has criticized me has a life I wish I had. So, I don&#8217;t care if I succeed slower. I don&#8217;t care if my goodness shows later. I don&#8217;t have to put on a show. I don&#8217;t have to pretend. Liars need good memories. So, make of it what you want, but I loved my dad beyond. I think he knew it too. And I think he knew it at the end.&#8221;

Brooke Hogan Says Fans Have No Idea What She Endured

On last night&#8217;s SmackDown, WWE Women&#8217;s Tag Team Champion Lainey Reid lost to WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella.
Lainey faced issues with her top during the entire match.

At one point, the screen went black because she suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
After the match, Fatal Influence attacked Brie and Paige, which led to Nikki Bella making her return to save Brie and Paige. After laying out the heels, Nikki announced The Bella Twins and Paige vs. Fatal Influence for SummerSlam 2026.
Fallon Henley tweeted the following about this match:

Paige replied:

Lainey Reid Suffered Wardrobe Malfunction On SmackDown

With WWE joining forces with SiriusXM to launch WWE Radio, AEW star Thunder Rosa&#8217;s confirmed that her time on Busted Open Radio has come to an end.
Here&#8217;s what the former AEW Women&#8217;s World Champion posted:

Being part of Busted Open has been so much more than sitting behind a microphone. After the match, Fatal Influence attacked Brie and Paige, which led to WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella making her return to save Brie and Paige.
After laying out the heels, Nikki announced The Bella Twins and Paige vs. Fatal Influence for SummerSlam 2026.
Fallon Henley tweeted the following about this match:

After making his WWE debut at Royal Rumble 2026, Royce Keys was off WWE TV for a while. He eventually made his SmackDown debut a couple of weeks before WrestleMania 42.
During an interview on 107.7 The Bone, Keys addressed the fans who said WWE buried him after his Royal Rumble appearance:
&#8220;What I did ask [Triple H], and he had no problem with it. It was a ‘Hell yeah’ was after I signed to do dark matches at every single TV taping. That was every RAW, every SmackDown, every week, for almost three months.
Once I debuted at the Rumble, people were like, ‘Where did he go?’ I was on the road every single week opening up the shows. Of course, you’re not gonna see dark matches unless you’re in that city, but I was on the road every single week for about three months doing dark matches, getting feedback, getting better.
I’m throwing that out there for anybody that was saying I was missing or I was buried, or whatever the internet says. No, I was doing dark matches. The best training, I was told, is on-the-job training. And what better way to get on-the-job training than being in front of a live crowd?&#8221;

Royce Keys Reacts To Fans Saying WWE Buried Him After Royal Rumble Debut

Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk is teasing a potential crossover appearance for WWE&#8217;s partner promotion, AAA.
While showing off his upcoming Straight Edge Society action figure in an interview with Ringside Collectibles, Punk shifted the focus to AAA&#8217;s growing American presence, pointing out upcoming events like TripleManía 34 in Las Vegas and Worlds Collide at Chicago&#8217;s Allstate Arena. He openly wondered if this expansion creates the perfect opportunity for him to dip his toes into the AAA scene.
Punk took the tease even further by hinting at a possible return to his old masked look. Reminding fans that he famously lost a Mask vs. Hair match in the past, he suggested that the timing could be right to set the table and run a similar storyline back.
When asked point-blank about bringing back the Straight Edge Society mask in AAA, Punk refused to shut the door on the idea. He noted that lucha libre supporters would love the homage, adding with a grin that the move would certainly sell a lot of masks.
