Former Intercontinental Champion Headed To AEW Soon
RAW wrestler Ricochet has officially ended his tenure with WWE. He wrapped up his time on WWE TV in June, and speculation is rife that he could be heading to AEW.
WWE has moved Ricochet from the active roster page on their website to the alumni section, marking the end of his chapter with the company:
Ricochet’s departure was scripted into the show when Bron Breakker threw him into a WWE production truck and smashed him through a car windshield. WWE later reported that Ricochet had suffered multiple upper body injuries and would be out of action for an unspecified period.
Will Ospreay has been vocal about wanting AEW to sign his former opponent. Ospreay sees significant potential in either facing Ricochet or teaming up with him, highlighting the money-making opportunities their partnership or rivalry could bring.
According to Fightful Select, sources in both WWE & AEW have told them that Ricochet is heading to All Elite Wrestling. He officially became a Free Agent on July 1st.
