Gunther vs. Finn Balor was the originally planned 5th match for Crown Jewel 2026, but that was pulled from the show despite promotional material being made.
According to WRKD Wrestling, WWE officials decided the feud needed more build-up, and they believed the four-match card was already strong enough for this Saudi Arabia PLE.
Balor and Gunther had a brawl on Friday’s SmackDown, where Balor got the upper hand.

As we previously noted, TNA wrestler Joseph Sawyer (fka Joe Gacy in WWE) lost the GCW World Championship to Atticus Cogar tonight.
Sawyer isn’t the only former WWE talent to lose a world title tonight, as Killer Kross (fka Karrion Kross in WWE) lost the MLW World Heavyweight Championship to Josh Bishop in a Last Man Standing match at MLW Saturday Night SuperFight.
Kross was champion for 283 days and successfully defended the title 7 times.

Atticus Cogar is once again GCW World Champion, but his victory celebration at GCW The Crossroads was cut short immediately.
In the main event, Cogar reclaimed the promotion’s top prize by defeating TNA wrestler Joseph Sawyer (fka Joe Gacy in WWE), putting an end to Sawyer’s threat of taking the championship away with him.

The title change also closed the book on recent drama surrounding Sawyer, who had previously walked out of a defense in late September after claiming an injury that he later brushed off to take other dates.
However, just as Cogar brought the belt back under the GCW umbrella, the show ended in total shock when Mance Warner and EFFY made their surprise returns.
Appearing for the promotion for the first time since April during WrestleMania weekend, the returning duo blindsided Cogar in the ring, turning the newly crowned champion’s celebration into complete chaos.

AEW Collision Results – Tommaso Ciampa Wins National Title

When Julius Creed of The Creed Brothers first joined WWE, company officials saw him as a future franchise player, with top executives even comparing his ceiling to John Cena.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE officials originally believed Julius could grow into one of WWE’s top four headline stars, with many saying they found their “next Cena.”
Despite that sky-high praise, both Julius and his brother Brutus recently parted ways with WWE after their contracts expired without a renewal, ending a run that never quite matched those massive early expectations.
